Discussions on Jewish topics, religious services, musical entertainments and celebration of Shabbat and the festivals in an informal manner (kosher). Our charity shop at 89 Golders Green Road provides vocational placements for JAMI members. Please donate your unwanted items to the shop whenever you can. An opportunity to engage with your local community with support from a befriender volunteer. Meet for a coffee and a chat, go to the cinema, go bowling, its your choice. Providing the education and training necessary to support people with mental health needs. MHFA shows people how to recognise the early signs of mental health problems and find appropriate help. Professional guidance from JAMI staff or advice on who can best help you. Support with finding full-time or part-time paid or voluntary work, training courses and  1:1 advice to prepare you for employment or for job interview. Helping you to maintain and retain your job. Support group for carers of Jewish people with a mental illness offering interesting speakers on subjects relevant to carers, practical advice, support and encouragement. Providing practical support to help with your independence and assist you to engage with community activities. Bespoke accredited training courses leading to a recognised national qualification (e.g. NVQ Customer Care, BTEC Catering). To provide cultural and appropriate religious support to Jewish people in hospital particularly over a Jewish festival. Someone to talk to when you are feeling all alone in hospital, also social events for patients and parties celebrating Jewish festivals. Mental health awareness for school and university students, employees and the general public sending out the anti stigma and discrimination message.
